🚴♂️ VeloFriday: The story that continues to inspire and bring the Ungheni community together! 🚴♀️🌿
What started as a simple idea has become a true local movement! VeloVineri is not just about cycling – it’s about a healthy lifestyle, a united community, sustainable tourism, and the joy of rediscovering our city and district on two wheels! 🚲✨
📜 A retrospective of our passion and involvement:
🔹 2025 – 1st Edition: The Ungheni City Hall, in partnership with the Ungheni Tourist Information Center, laid the foundations for this beautiful tradition. With the first edition, we proved that Ungheni has energy, enthusiasm, and a huge desire for movement and connection.
🔹 2026 – 2nd Edition: We grew, became more visible, and more united! In this edition, the ride brought together an impressive community of dedicated people and institutions:
• Ungheni District Council and the Territorial Office of the State Chancellery
• The Border Police Team (“West” Regional Directorate)
• Energetic youth from the Ungheni Municipal Youth Center
• Municipal Enterprises (AVE-Ungheni, Apă-Canal, Servicii Comunale, Regia Amenajare și Creare a Spațiilor Verzi)
• Mobile Intervention Company Ungheni of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri (IGC)
• “Centru-Vest” Territorial Social Assistance Agency
• Ungheni District Hospital
• 5 Theoretical High Schools from Ungheni Municipality:
(Vasile Alecsandri Theoretical High School)
(Gheorghe Asachi Theoretical High School)
(Mihai Eminescu Theoretical High School)
(Ion Creangă Theoretical High School)
(Alexandru Pușkin Theoretical High School)
…and the special moment integrated into the Ungheni City Days showed that cycling is truly part of our city’s identity! 🎆🚴♂️
