The Museum of History and Ethnography Ungheni

In Ungheni, at the end of the seventh decade of the last century, a group of children, assisted by teachers, eager to bring to light the historic and cultural local values, have expressed their desire to organize a museum. Their insistence coincided with a period of rising atheistic society, the consequence of which was closed slots of worship.

Ungheni – City of the 33 Sculptures

In 2000, was initiated in Ungheni the sculpture camp, with a biennial frequency, involving well- known artists from Moldova and Romania, including the sculptors Dumitru Verdianu and Ion Zderciuc, both natives from Ungheni City. Totally were organized four editions during which were made 33 sculptures in stone of Cosăuţi and wood.
